7/8/2010 - Vandalism, Criminal Mischief

On July 8, 2010, the Helena Police received a call from the street department reporting suspect/s had vandalized signs in the downtown area by applying red stickers/tape with the statements, “The War on Terror”, “Corporate Fascism” and The US Army”.  There were a total of eleven stop signs vandalized in paint and stickers.  Similar incidents were reported to the County Sheriff’s Office.  Anyone having information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects involved in this crime may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1000.00.

The city of Helena continues to experience vandalism in the form of spray painting graffiti on road signs and roadside bill boards.  On one such bill board located on the west side of Helena along Highway 12 person/s unknown spray painted depicting Jesus with his arms outreached, person/s unknown spray painted the phrase, “The fish was this big”.  This is very similar to vandalism that had taken place on a bill board on the east side of East Helena also along Highway 12.  Anyone having information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects involved in these crimes may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1000.00.

7/3/2010 - Criminal Mischief

Over the July 4th weekend the City of Helena experienced vandalism to numerous road signs in the down town area.  The suspects in these crimes spray painted anti-government and corporate slogans such as, "Corporate Fascism" and "The War of Terror".  The suspects are believed to be involved several incidents of criminal mischief in the city.  Anyone having information or happen to see suspicious activity in the downtown area that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspects may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1000.00.

6/22/2010 - Arson, Criminal Mischief

On June 22, 2010 at approximately 1:40am two suspects approached the Walmart store located at 2750 Prospect Avenue.  The suspects approached the store from Gibbon Street along the west side of the store to the front.  The suspects threw a Molotov cocktail (fire bomb) at the front of the store and painted graffiti “Heyduke lives” in black spray paint along the front of the store.  They then threw a long metal pipe through the glass doors of the GM entrance of the store.  Anyone having information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects involved in this crime may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1000.00.

3/6/2010 - Motorcycle Theft

On March 6, 20010, the Helena Police Department recieved a report of a stolen motorcycle.  The victim reported the motorcycle had been discovered stolen from a storage shed on his property located in the 1400 block of Boulder Ave at approximately 9:50am that morning.  Further, they described the motorcycle as a 2009 Green Kawasaki 450F dirt bike, VIN JKAKXGEC59A000576. The victim reported he discovered the suspects had cut or had broken the locks used to secure the shed and motorcycle. Anyone having information leading to the recovery of this motorcycle and arrest of the suspects can submit a tip by calling Crime Stoppers at 443-2000 or by submitting a tip on line. 3/3/2010 - Theft from a Motor Vehicle

On February 15, 2010, the Helena Police Department received a complaint of a theft from a motor vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Motherlode Casino located at 1428 Cedar Street.  When the officer arrived he met with the victim who told him person/s unknown had forcibly entered their vehicle by smashing out the window and stealing a purse.  The officer reviewed security video footage for the casino locating footage of the theft wherein the suspect and a female leave the casino and pull up on the street in a white car believed to be a Buick.  The male suspect got out of the car and stood near the victim’s vehicle until he felt secure enough to smash out the vehicle window to get at the purse.  After stealing the purse the suspect returned to the white car and got in the passenger side, and then they pulled away.  I reviewed the video footage and captured two frames of the suspects.  Anyone having information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspects in this crime can submit a tip to Crime Stoppers by calling 4443-2000 or through this web site.  You will remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward to $1000.00.
